Calla Evans is a photographer, arts facilitator, and digital-problem-solver. She lives on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations in the city colonially known as Vancouver. Calla is also a fat activist, working towards a more size-inclusive outdoor industry.

Calla’s work explores fat visual culture, embodied identity performance, plus-size fashion and fat activism. She has run a successful photography business for over 15 years. Calla is also an experienced teacher and continues to mentor emerging photographers and creative business owners. She is a storytelling facilitator working with Re•Vision: Centre for Art & Social Justice.
